The Rosewood Yarn Bowls have been discontinued by Furls. They will be replaced with a more sustainable wood, Teak. Once these are gone we will not be able to get them again. Get yours while they last!
Medium is approximately 6" wide, about 3" tall. See the standard size, 3.5oz yarn ball inside. (yarn not included)
Each has a gentle curve to keep your ball of yarn neatly inside. Because of the varying character of natural timbers, yarn bowl dimensions and coloration may change slightly from bowl to bowl.
How did I ever get along without a Yarn Bowl?!? Before using one myself I thought, who needs a bowl to hold my yarn, that is just a waste of money. But I was SO Wrong! It is worth every penny, I promise you.
Ever try to keep a ball of yarn in your lap, or next to you on the couch when you are crocheting or knitting? Its nearly impossible. Inevitably it will find it's way on the floor and magically find those darn dust bunnies that you didn't know you had. Or it will roll away from you so far that you have to put your project down and walk over to pick it up. And lets not forget about how that ball in your lap or sitting next to you seems to keep getting rolled up against something making the yarn come off the ball too tight so it keeps messing with your crochet or knitting tension. This all makes for not very pretty works of yarn art. But all of that is a thing of the past with a yarn bowl. I Love mine! I actually have a few now because I keep one in my craft room where I like to crochet without distractions, and one on the side table by my rocker, and one on the nightstand in my bedroom...all the places I like to crochet.
This beautiful bowl is handcarved, so no two are exactly the same. They are carved out of Sheesham Rosewood. A small to medium size ball of yarn will be nestled inside this gorgeous bowl. Your yarn goes through the pretty swirl carved in the side of the bowl, allowing the ball to spin around freely inside the smooth surface of the bowl so your tension is more even, and no dust bunnies get caught up in your yarn, and therefore your finished project is worthy of selling here on Etsy or gifting to a loved one or charity.
Not only is this bowl a must-have tool for knitters or crocheters, it is a piece of art. It looks so beautiful sitting on a table with a pretty ball of yarn or two inside...just waiting to inspire your next project.
